German Directions Phrase: "Wo ist...?"
"Wo ist...?" is a simple German phrase meaning "Where is...?" Just swap in the name of a place to ask about almost anything. For a more polite version, add "Entschuldigung" (Excuse me) at the front: "Entschuldigung, wo ist...?" A typical reply points the way, like "Es ist gleich um die Ecke" (It's just around the corner).
