Chinese Directions Phrase: "...在哪里？"
"...在哪里？" (...zài nǎlǐ?) is a simple Chinese phrase meaning "Where is...?" Just fill in the blank with the name of a place to ask about almost anything. For a more polite version, add "请问" (Excuse me) at the front: "请问...在哪里？" A typical reply points the way, like "就在拐角那边" (It's just around the corner).
Examples
火车站在哪里？
"Where is the train station?" (a simple, easy-to-use question)
请问，洗手间在哪里？
"Excuse me, where is the restroom?" (a more polite version)
就在拐角那边。
"It's just around the corner." (a typical way to give directions)
