French Self-Introduction Phrase: "Enchanté"
"Enchanté" is the standard French way to say "Nice to meet you," literally meaning "enchanted." It's natural to say while shaking hands right after introducing yourself. If the speaker is a woman, it becomes "Enchantée" (pronounced the same way). You can reply with the same word.
Examples
Je m'appelle Marc. Enchanté.
"My name is Marc. Nice to meet you." (a common thing to add right after saying your name, said by a male speaker)
Enchantée.
"Nice to meet you." (the spelling used when the speaker is a woman)
