Hindi Directions Phrase: "...कहाँ है?"
"...कहाँ है?" (...kahaan hai?) is a simple Hindi phrase meaning "Where is...?" Just fill in the blank with the name of a place to ask about almost anything. For a more polite version, add "माफ़ कीजिए" (Excuse me) at the front: "माफ़ कीजिए, ...कहाँ है?" A typical reply points the way, like "यह बस कोने के आसपास है" (It's just around the corner).

"Where is the station?" (a simple, easy-to-use question)
