"はじめまして" (Hajimemashite) is a standard greeting in Japanese meaning "Nice to meet you," said naturally after introducing yourself to someone for the first time. A typical reply is the same "はじめまして", or the more formal "こちらこそ、よろしくお願いします" (The pleasure is mine).
