Japanese Phrase for Talking About the Weather: "いい天気ですね"

"いい天気ですね" (Ii tenki desu ne) is standard Japanese small talk about the weather, meaning "Nice weather, isn't it?" The ending "ですね" (desu ne) gives it a soft, agreement-seeking tone. On a rainy day, "今日は天気が悪いですね" (Kyou wa tenki ga warui desu ne, The weather's bad today, isn't it) is also common.
