Russian Thank-You Reply: "Пожалуйста"

"Пожалуйста" (Pozhaluysta) is the standard Russian reply meaning "You're welcome." Interestingly, this very same word is also used to mean "Please" - just like German "Bitte," it's a handy word that does double duty. A more casual alternative is "Не за что" (literally "It's nothing").

Examples

Спасибо! / Пожалуйста!

"Thank you!" / "You're welcome!" (a common thank-you and reply pair)

Не за что.

"You're welcome." (literally "It's nothing," a slightly more casual option)

Пожалуйста, помогите мне.

"Please help me." (the same word used to mean "please")
